Dharma + Direct Action Training Coming to Santa Fe!

From August 5 to 9, join BPF co-directors Katie Loncke and Dawn Haney at the Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for a national gathering marking the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.BPF is partnering with Upaya Zen Center to offer our Wise Disruption Direct Action + Dharma training in Santa Fe, New Mexico as part of this retreat. Others who are attending the gathering include: Rev. James Lawson, well-known civil rights activist who will give the keynote on Friday 8/7, Erica Chenoweth, Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr., Roshi Joan Halifax, and John Dear.If you cannot make the full retreat, but are available on Thursday, August 6, then join us for the nonviolent witness at Los Alamos, the national nuclear laboratory that created the first nuclear bombs and continues to design nuclear weapons. We will be bringing paper cranes for peace, folded by Buddhists locked up in San Quentin Prison. If you want to join us in Los Alamos only, email us at events@bpf.org for more information as it becomes available.
