Reclaiming Time
“If we want our world to be different, our first act has to be claiming time to think. We can’t expect those who are well served by the current reality to give us time to think. If we want anything to change, we are the ones who have to reclaim time.” - Meg Wheatley
You might have noticed that we're a touch quieter around here! After publishing 5 days a week for the past year, we have scaled back our publishing scheduling a bit as we enter the darkest days of the year.Don't worry - we will still be around! We'll have a few tasty morsels each week to whet your appetite for Buddhism that gets applied in our world. We'll also still be hanging out on Facebook, re-posting relevant articles from around the interwebs there, so please come hang out with us there. We'll be a little quieter as we take some time over the next 6 weeks to turn our attention inward. Reclaiming time to think and time to just be. Much of our role at BPF is about re-imagining our work - both what is possible for our world, and what meaningful contributions Buddhist activists can make given our current location in history and our collective resources. We're curious to find out what emerges from this time!Do you have a practice of reclaiming time? Tell us about it - both how you carve out time and what you use it for!---Photo credit: MattW
