Buddhist Peace Fellowship tends the sacred edge where spiritual practice meets movement organizing, cultivating the conditions for true inner and outer peace.
Drawing on the traditions of Engaged Buddhism, BPF strengthens the inherent connections between movement organizing and spiritual practice in three critical ways:
We offer spiritual support for people engaged in social, environmental, economic and healing justice movements;
We provide political education and leadership development for people who want to take their Buddhist practices “off the cushion;” and
We foster a spiritually grounded community to build clarity, endurance,and kinship for bold compassionate action in the current political moment.
Our programs are led by, and accountable to, Black, Indigenous, and Asian heritage Buddhists—centering the leadership and wisdom of BIPOC trans, Two-Spirit, and gender-expansive organizers, healers, and movement leaders.

Our 2024 report is here. It’s more than numbers — it’s the story of what we built in a year of rupture and repair.
